Prayer Opens The Door To God's Power

WHY DO WE PRAY?

WE PRAY TO ACKNOWLEDGE OUR DEPENDENCE UPON GOD.

We are a praying Church. We pray because prayer storms Heaven's Gates and moves God to action. God cares about us. He is above and we are below. The Bible informs us that “the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open to our prayers.” We pray to acknowledge our dependence upon Him: We are and can be nothing apart from Him. Prayer recognizes that. God is the giver of all good gifts. If everything good comes from Him, then in prayer we rightfully seek and ask of Him those things that are on our hearts.

WHAT MAKES IT IMPORTANT?

God longs to show Himself mighty on our behalf and He invites us to come to Him with our requests. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [Phip 4:6 ] He uses our prayers to accomplish His purposes. It is one of the most amazing and humbling realities in the universe, but it is true. Our prayers may be the very means He uses to save our children, to provide health to the person on the prayer list or maintain unity in our local church. Frankly, we would be overwhelmed right now if we knew how purposeful and meaningful God has made our prayers.

THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO RECEIVE PRAYER

1. Request Prayer Through HTS. Heal The Sick (HTS) is a weekly anonymous email ministry and a daily devotional. Click I NEED PRAYER, fill out the form, and submit your request. If you would like to join with others who pray for the sick, you can receive our daily HTS emails by clicking on JOIN HEAL THE SICK MINISTRY.

2. Fill out a connection card. When you attend one of our weekend services, you will receive a Connection Card at the door. On this card, complete the section that asks: “How can we pray for you?”. Drop off your prayer requests at the Information Station.

3. Request prayer in person. Request prayer anytime with one of our Prayer/Decision Guides at our weekend services.

4. Request prayer online below!

FOR YOUR PRIVACY

ONLY our Prayer Members and Church Staff/Pastors will receive your prayer requests. Your prayer requests will NOT be posted in any form to be read by our general congregation unless you request it on HTS.

Time with God is a prayer ministry open to our community where we create a safe space to pray and receive prayer freely. The structure is laid back, and we invite you to come and pray for as long or as little as you like. We believe in the power of prayer and the impact it has in our lives.

Every Saturday | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Church in Deltona

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” - Mark 11:24
